Meet The PSA
I’m Hayley, and although my eldest Harry is in his last year (scary), I’ve also got Abigail in yr3. Whilst I may be in the second half of my primary school journey, I decided now was the time to give something back. So after joining the PSA in July 2023, I have recently taken on the role of Chair of this amazing group of volunteers. Now I do have some fundraising experience, as I head up a fundraising team for a London hospice, but being able to give my time to support at events, tuck shops and more, gives me a real sense of satisfaction knowing I’m doing it to benefit our kids. Then if I can throw in some official support and regulation it’s a bonus!
Hey, I’m Teresa and I have two girls at the school in years 1 & 3. I recently joined the PSA in August last year and after being worried about what I’d actually be able to contribute I took on the challenge of rebranding, creating the website, and running our social pages. I have also recently taken on the role of vice chair. It’s been great fun so far not only planning the different events from Paws Of Pembury to our latest Bingo night, but seeing the enjoyment that comes from them and the way the money raised benefits the school and all the children.
I'm Karen, and I joined the PSA during the summer before my eldest daughter, Elsie, started at Pembury School. I felt this way I could help improve both of my girls' time at school. I work for a local charity in quality assurance. At first, I wasn't sure how I would be of help in the PSA, but since I've found that the most important thing is just to be willing to have a go and help. Many hands make light work! Since then I have also taken on the role of secretary for the PSA.
Hi, I’m Jo and moved to Pembury 4 years ago. A big pull was the village school so I joined the PSA this year. I have two sons and my eldest, Aidan, is in Year 1. I work in project management so enjoy getting involved with organising events and fundraisers. It’s been great fun to meet other parents and see everyone come together to raise money which will ultimately enhance our children’s experience at school
Hi, my name is Rossie. I moved to Tunbridge Wells 3 years ago. I joined the PSA to know more about the Pembury community. It has been a pleasure to help the PSA raise funds for the school and see the joy the children have in the events. At the moment, I help as a class rep and organising events.
I’m Michelle. My children started in 2021 & 2023. I have been a class rep for my older child’s class since reception and joined the PSA in 2022.
